Touted by some of Nashville’s finest in the business as the next Linda Ronstadt,
Brenda Lynn Allen has been wowing crowds throughout music city and the surrounding area promoting her debut album,
“Thoughts of Me and You” produced by steel guitar hall of famer, Russ Hicks.
“'Heart and Soul', Brenda's music is full of both.
I love what I hear when she sings,
and it's nice to see her heart when
she connects with people, on and off the stage.
When she's performing her delivery is awesome, as well as her smile.”-Russ
Staying true to her roots, the album features seven of Brenda’s original tunes
that can only be described as down home and straight from the heart.
The project also includes country classics such as “Wayward Wind” and “I Still Miss Someone”.
Brenda puts her unique flavor on the 80’s rock ballad, “Nobody’s Fool”
which showcases not only her vocals but her ability to really make a song her own.
Brenda was born and raised in Columbia, Tennessee where she has been performing since she was a kid.
“I was 8 years old when my grandfather passed away. He left behind a dusty box of records.
Two of them were Patsy Cline albums.
I fell in love with the music. I started writing the words down and learning the tunes.
I sang those songs for anyone that wanted to hear them!
My parents made it possible one Christmas to get me a guitar, my white Washburn, I still play today.
Dad taught me how to play and in my late teens I started writing songs.
When I made it into my twenties, I got the guts to sing them at songwriters’ nights in Nashville.
I have been fortunate enough to have a day job that has allowed me to share my music with others,
working as an activity professional.
With the support of my wonderful husband, John and the encouragement and help from my family and fans
I am able to now pursue this career that I have always dreamed about”.
